Unquestionably, the obscenely talented New York-based blues rocker has achieved her goal with this track, the first to be lifted from her eagerly awaited second album Teenage & Torture, released in North America on January 18. The simple tune weasels its way into your head, but it’s Ray’s incredible voice which carries this track as she dissects questions of body image and perceptions of beauty with devastating emotional impact.
