Prog 4 Drog ( Part I)

Epa ovako, Skvoter Doxotron je pre nekog vremena postovao prog-rock bend i probudio u meni
davno zaboravljeni muzicki pravac s kraja 60-ih i pocetka 70-ih godina prosloga veka.
Ljubih u srednjoj skolici te cudake iz Engleske, Nemacke, Spanije, Francuske, a posebno severnih zemalja VERY, pa osetih potrebu da ih malo podelim s vama...
Prva 3 benda nisu najbolja, nema redosleda, vise stvar prisecanja i nostalgije...

ARCADIUM - Breathe Awhile [1969]

ARCADIUM "Breathe Awhile" CD was originally released in the UK in 1969 and perhaps most closely aligned with the heavier side of psychedelia, this obscure album, is a standard fixture on many a collector's 'most wanted' list. The intense 12-minute guitar and organ-driven opening track, 'On My Way', sets the album's slow-burning epic tone. The whole album is high quality, with no stale moments, but highlights include 'Poor Lady', the 7 minute 'Walk On the Bad Side', and the 10-minute 'Birth, Life and Death'. This CD reissue also includes two rare bonus tracks: 'Sing My Song' and 'Riding Alone'.

MAY BLITZ-May Blitz(1969)

MAY BLITZ were formed by vocalist/guitarist Jamie Black who recruited Tony Newman on drums, (ex Sounds Incorporated and Jeff Beck Group), and Reid Hudson (bass, vocals) in 1969.
The band survived long enough to record two incredibly heavy, powerful and psychedelic albums with strong blues undertones and progressive tendencies, despite the lack of keyboards.
Their debut album is a must-hear for anyone curious about the development of heavy music, and features a production in which it is not only almost possible to smell the ganja smoke, but is also rich and clear enough to provide the striking dynamic contrasts the music needs, as it occasionally veers from ambience to crushing riffs in the blink of an eye. It is certainly very unpredictable, even now.

TONTON MACOUTE-Tonton Macoute(1971)

A little-known band. Musically in the progressive-jazz genre, the album was released on RCA's now collectable Neon label. It's quite unusual and includes a number of woodwind solos. Despite being recorded under the supervision of Howard and Blaikley it's musically miles away from that duo's sixties pop format.
The band got its name from the Haitian dictator Papa Doc Duvallier’s brutal presidential guard that was named “Tonton Macoute”. Their only album is full of jazz-inspired prog rock with long instrumental interplay in even longer tracks. Their music oozes fun and good-natured moods and should please most everyone, even the ones wary of jazz-tinged music, as this is hardly their only inspiration.
