Laurel Halo is a solo artist of Brooklyn. She composes and performs with a style I have yet to hear before. Laurel Halo’s sound has been fascinating me as of late. A blend of ambient trance, harmonic vocals and new age psychedelia, it’s eclectic, electric aura transcends higher dimensions.
Halo makes dreamy electronic music that she describes as “a collection of pulsating sci-fi fantasies”.
With the King Felix EP (get it free on her website) released in April and now this remix, Laurel Halo is still very much active in a scene of her own. In keeping the tightly bound sound of BRAHMS’ whilst adding her own unique, transdimensional qualities to the music, this track has the perfect balance all remixes should have but very rarely do. I’m sure we can expect to see a lot more from both BRAHMS (tumblr, website) and Laurel Halo (website) in the future.
