Chimes & Bells-S/T
Behind the name Chimes & Bells lurks 26-year-old singer, cellist and multi-instrumentalist Cæcile Trier, who has been an oustanding personality on the Danish indie music scene for quite some time now. Trier has been a part of bands like Choir Of Young Believers, Jong Pang, Le Fiasko & Atoi and Chimes & Bells is her first solo project. Her voice has a beautiful melancholic tone.
Certain bands from early on such as Pink Floyd, The Doors, and later Beatles albums, can give the distinctive feeling of psychedelics and a transition into the depths of your mind. The same can be said about Chimes and Bells. Without a doubt, they are the most trance inducing band I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. With a soothing harmony throughout, and enough subtle biblical references to taunt you into madness and questioning, they’re truly impressive and decisively unique. Chimes and Bells are somewhat of a mystery to me, as I find the most impressive bands to be that which can create the most energy through music.
