Richard Bucker was prolific during the ’90s and early 2000s, but it’s taken the alt-country veteran five years to follow up his 2006 LP Meadow. Now, he’s finally ready to break his silence with the new album Our Blood.
What took Buckner so long to ready this album? A press release explains that the songwriter faced repeated setbacks including an aborted film score, a broken tape machine and a stolen laptop. Bucker offered this explanation of how the album got back on track:
